Alessandra Talamo
Alessandra Talamo PhD is Full Professor in Social Psychology and Psychoterapist at the Dept. of Social and Developmental Psychology of Sapienza University of Rome. Former Head of Department. Alessandra leads the HOPE service (Humanitarian Operators Psychological E-services) devoted to psychological support, in presence and at a distance, of professionals working in conflict zones and humanitarian emergencies. Alessandra is coordinating a project in the field of professional training and capacity building devoted to prospective psychologists in Central African Republic, in partnership with University of Rwanda. Scientific coordinator of the IDEaCT Social Lab (Interaction DEsign and Communication Technologies), her research also includes the human-centered design of digital services in several fields. Involved in several international projects over time, she authored more than 100 publications both at national and international layer. Member of the UNESCO chair on Child Maltreatment, contributing both in the field of creating human-centered psychosocial services through design-thinking techniques, and in supporting professionals involved in the perspective of ”helping the helpers”.
